5 Star Holidays Egypt: Private Tours, Luxury Nile Cruises & Tailor-Made Journeys

The premise

The gap between the Egypt you imagined and the Egypt you get.

Everyone arrives in Egypt with the same mental image. The pyramids at golden hour. A boat drifting past palm groves. A tomb wall so bright it looks freshly painted.

What nobody pictures is the queue, the coach with forty strangers, or the guide shouting over a microphone in three languages at once.

That gap — between the Egypt you imagined and the Egypt you actually get — is the whole reason 5 star holidays Egypt searches exist.

You are not really shopping for thread count. You are shopping for control: your own vehicle, your own guide, your own pace, and someone reliable answering the phone when a flight time changes.

At Egypt Luxury Trips, that is the business we are in. We run a collection of private tours and Nile cruises across Cairo, Giza, Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel and the Red Sea coast at Safaga. Below, we walk you through exactly what we operate, how the pieces fit together, and how to find out what suits your dates. No invented promises, no fictional resort brochures — just our actual programme and an honest route to the answers.

Sample journeys

Every tour here is one we actually run.

If it is not listed, we have not claimed it. Pricing and availability move with season and dates, so we confirm them per enquiry rather than publish a number that has already shifted.

The collection

Our Egypt tour collection at a glance.

We keep the catalogue deliberately clear. Here is the shape of it.

Our tours are built as private experiences, sequenced rather than stacked, and led by guides chosen for the sites you are actually visiting. Every item in the table below is a tour we operate — if it is not listed, we have not claimed it.

The map

Where our 5 star holidays in Egypt actually take you.

Cairo and Giza, the full sweep of Luxor, the temples between Luxor and Aswan, Aswan and Abu Simbel, both directions of the Nile cruise corridor, and inland tours from Safaga for travellers based on the Red Sea.

Cairo & Giza: where almost every trip begins

Cairo is loud, layered and completely unlike the postcard — in the best way. Our Cairo and Giza programme lets you take it in slices rather than swallowing it whole.

The pyramid options:

The city and culture options:

The lighter, more playful side:

And for travellers with tight schedules, we operate a Day Trip from Cairo to Luxor by Flight — one day, two civilisational capitals, no overnight bag required. Ambitious? Yes. Popular? Also yes.

Luxor: the densest sightseeing on the planet

If Cairo is where Egypt announces itself, Luxor is where it settles in and starts talking. The concentration of temples and tombs here is extraordinary, which is precisely why an unplanned Luxor day tends to collapse into exhaustion.

Temples and tombs:

Museums and evenings:

Experiences rather than sightseeing:

Day trips out of Luxor:

That last one is worth flagging. If your itinerary cannot fit a cruise, it moves you between Egypt’s two southern hubs with sightseeing built into the journey rather than wasted on transit.

Aswan and Abu Simbel: the softer, slower south

Aswan changes the rhythm of a trip. The river widens, the pace drops, and the cultural texture shifts noticeably towards Nubia.

Then there is Abu Simbel, which we operate two ways:

Both reach the same monumental site. The difference is time, comfort preference and how your other days are stacked — which is exactly the sort of thing our team sorts out with you directly.

Egypt luxury Nile cruise: two directions, two different trips

A Egypt luxury Nile cruise is the part of the holiday most travellers remember longest, largely because it removes the daily friction. You unpack once. The scenery moves instead of you.

We operate the corridor in both directions:

Which one is right depends less on preference than on logistics — where you are flying into, where you are flying out of, and what you have already seen. Southbound from Luxor gives you the longer version. Northbound from Aswan is the tighter one, and it slots neatly onto the end of an Aswan stay.

We deliberately do not publish cruise inclusions, cabin categories or pricing on this page, because those details move with season and availability, and we would rather confirm them for your dates than have you plan around a number that has shifted. Send us your travel window through the enquiry form and we will come back with what is actually available.

Luxury Red Sea holidays: excursions from Safaga

Here is where we want to be straight with you, because the internet often is not.

Many travellers searching for 5 star all inclusive Egypt are picturing a beach resort on the Red Sea — Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, Marsa Alam, El Gouna, Makadi Bay, Soma Bay. Those resorts exist and plenty of people love them. We do not publish or sell resort packages, so we are not going to rank hotels we do not operate. Recommending a resort we have not put guests in would be exactly the kind of confident nonsense we would rather not add to the internet.

What we do run is the cultural half of that holiday, from the coast:

So if you are already booked into a Red Sea property, or arriving on a ship at Safaga, this is how you add the pyramids-and-temples layer without rebuilding your whole trip. Beach in the morning, painted tombs by lunchtime — an unusually good trade.

Timing

How many nights do you actually need?

The single most common planning mistake we see is compressing Egypt into a long weekend and then spending it in transit. Here is a realistic way to think about length, based on how our tours are built.

These are shapes, not fixed packages. Tell us your dates and we will build the version that fits.

Standard on every journey

What “five star” really means on an Egypt holiday.

Here is the uncomfortable truth about luxury holidays Egypt shoppers rarely hear: a five-star plaque on a hotel lobby tells you almost nothing about your day. You will spend six, eight, sometimes ten hours a day outside that hotel. The quality of those hours is decided by three things — your guide, your driver, and how well the day was sequenced before you arrived. So when we talk about Egypt luxury tours, we mean the parts you actually live through.

Private, not shared

Our tours are built as private experiences, so the group is you and the people you came with.

Sequenced, not stacked

A Luxor day that runs west bank then east bank is a different day from one that runs the reverse. We plan the order.

Specialist by site

Dendera and Abydos are not the same conversation as Islamic and Coptic Cairo. Different sites, different depth.

Answerable

One team, one thread, one set of confirmations for the whole trip. That is the version of five-star we can actually deliver — and the version that changes how your holiday feels.

No resorts we do not run

We do not operate or publish resort listings, so we will not rank properties for you. Our expertise is in private guided touring and Nile cruises.

Quoted for your dates

Inclusions and pricing vary by product and season, so we quote your specific itinerary rather than a headline figure that may already have moved.

The process

One form. One conversation.

What we have not done on this page is quote you a price, promise a cabin, or rank a hotel we have never run guests through. Those answers deserve to be accurate for your dates, not approximate for everyone’s.

So here is the next step: fill in the enquiry form. Our team at Egypt Luxury Trips will come back to you with the available details, confirm what is currently on offer, and talk through the shape of the journey — including the parts you had not thought to ask about yet.

Tell us when you are travelling

Your travel window is what lets us confirm availability rather than guess at it — particularly for the cruises and the outdoor tours.

Tell us how many nights you have

One day, two to three, four to five, six to eight, or a coastal stay — each one has a workable shape, and we build the version that fits.

Tell us who is coming with you

Couples, families and adults-only travellers all get a different sequence, because our tours are private and the pacing is ours to control.

Tell us which tours caught your eye

We come back with the available details, confirm what is currently on offer, and talk through the shape of the journey.

Before you book

Egypt 5 star holidays: your questions, answered honestly.

What are the best destinations for 5-star holidays in Egypt?

For culture-led luxury travel, our programme centres on Cairo and Giza, Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel, plus the Luxor–Aswan Nile corridor. Travellers combining beach and heritage typically base on the Red Sea coast and reach Luxor through our Safaga tours.

Which are the best 5-star all-inclusive resorts in Egypt?

We do not operate or publish resort listings, so we will not rank properties for you. Our expertise is in private guided touring and Nile cruises. If you have a resort in mind, tell us in the enquiry form and we will focus on the excursions around it.

Is Hurghada or Sharm El Sheikh better for a luxury holiday?

That is a beach-resort comparison rather than a touring one, and we would only be guessing. What we can tell you is that our coastal touring runs from Safaga, which is the practical gateway for reaching Luxor from the Red Sea in a day or two.

Are 5-star Egypt holidays good value for money?

Value in Egypt is decided mostly by how many hours of your day are genuinely well spent. Private guiding, sensible sequencing and a cruise that removes daily packing tend to deliver far more per day than a longer trip run badly. We will quote your specific itinerary rather than a headline figure.

What is included in a 5-star all-inclusive holiday in Egypt?

Inclusions vary by product and season, and we do not want you planning around a list that may have changed. Send your dates through the form and we will confirm precisely what is included in the tours and cruise you are considering.

Which Egypt luxury resorts have private beaches?

Beach facilities sit with the resorts themselves, not with us. We are happy to build your touring around whichever property you choose.

What are the best adults-only 5-star resorts in Egypt?

Again, that is resort territory. What we can offer adults-only travellers is genuinely private touring — no shared coaches, no fixed group departures.

Which 5-star Egypt resorts are best for families?

We do not rate resorts, but for Egypt 5 star family holidays we would point you towards our shorter formats: the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx Half Day Tour, the Camel Ride at the Giza Pyramids, the Felucca Ride on the Nile in Luxor and the Nubian Village by Motorboat. Short, varied, and far kinder to young attention spans than a ten-hour temple marathon.

Are luxury holidays in Egypt suitable for honeymoon couples?

Very much so, and we publish dedicated guidance in our Luxury Honeymoon Packages in Egypt article. Couples tend to gravitate towards the Luxor Hot Air Balloon Ride, the felucca, the horse-drawn carriage city tour and a Nile cruise — quiet, scenic, and easy to travel slowly.

What is the best time of year for a 5-star holiday in Egypt?

Conditions and crowd levels vary considerably through the year, and the honest answer depends on your dates and tolerance for heat. Tell us your travel window and we will advise on which of our tours work best in it — particularly the outdoor ones.

Which Egyptian resorts offer the best diving and snorkelling?

Diving is a Red Sea speciality, but it is not something we operate. Our coastal offering is the inland cultural side: the Safaga to Luxor Day Trip and the Safaga Port to Luxor 2-Day Tour.

Can I combine Cairo, the Pyramids, and a luxury Red Sea resort?

Yes. Our Cairo and Giza tours cover the pyramids side, and our Safaga tours cover you once you are on the coast. We will help you sequence the two so the travel days are not wasted.

Are luxury Nile cruise packages available in Egypt?

Yes — we run a 4-Night Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan and a 3-Night Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor. Availability, cabins and pricing are confirmed per enquiry.

Which Egypt 5-star resorts have water parks and children’s clubs?

Those are resort facilities, and we will not invent a list. Our contribution to a family trip is the touring around it.

Are there luxury all-inclusive resorts in Marsa Alam?

Marsa Alam is a well-known Red Sea destination, but it is outside what we operate. Our southern focus is Luxor, Aswan and Abu Simbel.

What are the best 5-star hotels in Cairo near the Pyramids?

We do not publish a hotel ranking. We will, however, plan your pyramid days around wherever you are staying — including the very short Giza Pyramids and Sphinx Half Day Tour if your hotel is close by.

Which Egypt luxury resorts offer spa and wellness facilities?

Spa facilities belong to the properties. If wellness matters to you, the pacing of your itinerary matters just as much — and that is something we can genuinely control.

How many nights should I stay on a luxury Egypt holiday?

See the table above. Broadly: one or two days covers Cairo, four to five adds the 3-night cruise, and six to eight gives you Cairo, the 4-night cruise and Abu Simbel without rushing.

Are Egypt 5-star holidays safe for families and couples?

We run our tours privately, with our own guides and drivers, and we stay reachable throughout your trip. If you have specific concerns about your itinerary, raise them in your enquiry and we will answer them directly rather than generically.

When can I find the cheapest deals on 5-star Egypt holidays?

Pricing moves with season and availability, so we quote rather than advertise. The most reliable way to find out what your dates cost is simply to ask us for them.

How do the two Abu Simbel options differ?

The Abu Simbel Temples by Flight tour reaches the site by air and suits short itineraries and travellers avoiding long road time. The Abu Simbel Private Tour by Road goes overland and entirely privately, for travellers who want the desert crossing and a private vehicle throughout. Both reach the same monumental site.

Next step

Ready to plan your 5 star Egypt holiday?

Egypt’s version of luxury is not really about marble lobbies — it is about private guiding, well-sequenced days, and a Nile cruise that lets you unpack once. Tell us your dates and we will shape the route: one form, one conversation, and a considerably better version of the Egypt you have been picturing.
